## What it provides

- Sourced information on common Illinois pests, prevention, professional treatment, typical costs, and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) licensing.
- A phone number ((217) 626-5123). Calls are routed to a participating independent pest control provider serving the caller's area, if one is available.

## Services visitors can ask about

- General pest control and exterminator services; rodent control (mice and rats); ant control; termite inspection and treatment; bed bug treatment; cockroach control. Not every service is available in every location.

## What it doesn't do

- Perform treatments, employ technicians, operate vehicles, or keep offices.
- Hold an IDPH license or represent any government agency.
- Verify, license, or insure participating providers, or claim any of them is licensed or insured.
- Guarantee availability, response times, same-day service, or pest elimination.

## Illinois licensing

- Every commercial structural pest control business location must be IDPH-licensed and employ at least one certified technician (225 ILCS 235).
- Required insurance: at least $100,000 per person or $300,000 per occurrence for injury, and $50,000 per occurrence for property damage (225 ILCS 235/9).
